BANGOR — A 55-year-old man struck by a vehicle in Bangor has been taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Police say the Bangor man was struck on Hammond Street just after 5 p.m. Monday. He was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center.

The driver of the vehicle, a 27-year-old Hermon woman, was not injured.

No names were immediately released.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
