WATERVILLE — Brooke Chandor scored 12 points to lead three players in double figures as the Colby women’s basketball team sank the University of New England 56-45 in a nonleague game Thursday night.
MaryKate Caverly and Carylanne Wolfington each scored 10 points for the Mules (2-4), who led just 23-20 at the half. Mia Diplock chipped in with seven points.
Kelly Coleman scored nine points to pace UNE (12-3).
MAINE 74, VERMONT 46: Liz Wood scored a career-high 30 points to lead the Black Bears to the America East win at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor.
Maine (13-6, 5-1) has now won five straight. Wood added six rounds, three steals and three assists. Sophie Weckstrom and Chantel Charles chipped in nine points apiece.
