WINTHROP — Police searched a Mount Pisgah Road home Friday and arrested three men, including a resident of the home, following what they described as an investigation that lasted several months.
Police arrested Chad Goucher, 37, of Winthrop, who lives at the 335 Mount Pisgah Road home where police acted on a search warrant, and charged him with trafficking in scheduled drugs, a class B charge, and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, class C.
Winthrop police, assisted by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, Maine State Police and the Maine Warden Service, searched the home and found 13 grams of heroin, more than $15,000 in cash, a loaded sawed-off shotgun and a loaded .22-caliber rifle, according to a news release.
Also arrested during the bust were David Ridlon, 37, of Winthrop, on a warrant for failure to pay fines, and Joseph Crosby, 28, of Alaska, on a charge of possession of scheduled drugs, class C.
A woman who lives in the residence was not charged.
Police said in the release additional charges and arrests are possible. No further information was available Tuesday evening.
