Stephanie Elisabeth-Marie Phillips, daughter of Drs. Jim Phillips and Stephanie Smith-Phillips, of Charleston, S.C., and Stephen James Powell, son of Walter Powell and Joanne Powell, of Skowhegan, Maine, have announced their engagement.

Stephanie, of Charleston, received a bachelor of science degree in psychology from the College of Charleston. She is employed as a curriculum coordinator by Trident Kids Academy.

Stephen, also of Charleston, received a bachelor of arts degree in religion from Middlebury College. He is employed as a tech coordinator by Verizon Wireless.

A small ceremony is planned April 29, 2015, in Charleston, followed by a reception for friends and family later this year in Maine, hosted by the groom’s family.
