SKOWHEGAN — The Color (Mid) ME Fun! Color Walk fundraiser is set 10 a.m. Saturday, May 2, at the Federated Church, 13 Island Ave.

Walkers can sponsor a specific cause, such as food and fuel, youth homelessness, financial independence or a general Live United Fund, by gathering pledges, according to a news release from the United Way of Mid-Maine.

The one-mile family fun walk will start and finish at the church. Color stations located along the route, will splash walkers in color (FDA approved colored cornstarch). Participants are encouraged to wear white and finish in color. Games, entertainment for children and refreshments will take place after the walk.

Registration cost $20 or register for free by obtaining sponsors. Children younger than 8 walk free. Check starts at 9 a.m. The first 100 walkers to register will receive a free event T-shirt.
