I am probably not the only reader to notice the surprising similarity between Alan Caron’s column about Gov. Paul LePage’s style of governance (“LePage’s temporary insanity,” June 12) and Dagwood’s summary of his boss’ behavior on the same day’s comics page.

To quote Dagwood, “First (he) settled into a slow, seething simmer … finally he lost it with conniptions, hissy fits, tantrums and a full-blown meltdown.”

That kind of conduct is better consigned to a cartoon than elected to the Blaine House.
