Raymond A. Gallant and Agnes C. (Savoy) Gallant, of Augusta, celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary today, July 5, 2015.

Ray and Agnes met in Old Town in 1964, and were married July 5, 1965. The outdoor wedding took place in Orono at the home of the parents of the bride.

Mr. and Mrs. Gallant have three children: Laurie Foster, of Newmarket, New Hampshire; Karen McFarland, of Manchester; and Mike Gallant, of Sidney.

They have so far been blessed with seven grandchildren: Tim McFarland, of Augusta; Sarah McFarland, of Sidney; Taylor McFarland, of Manchester; Kyle, Colby and Caden Foster, of Newmarket, New Hampshire; and Michaela Gallant, of Sidney.

A family gathering took place June 27 at the Olive Garden in Augusta in honor of this magnificent milestone.
