The “Not giving in: Fans defend, display Confederate flags at Daytona” article on July 6 about Confederate flags flying at the Coke Zero 400 NASCAR race omitted explaining an even more important issue found in its picture.
Why is the National Rifle Association’s flag flying subordinate to the Confederate flag? I don’t think African-American members of the NRA would appreciate that, and I’m surprised that the Coca-Cola bottling company would allow that at its event.
