Army Spec. Brock Frederick, of Buxton, recently graduated from basic training at Fort Benning, Georgia.

Frederick’s weeks of training included studying the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness and instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons and more.

Frederick joined the Army in October 2014, is a 2005 Madison Area Memorial High School graduate, and eared a bachelors degree in criminal justice at Thomas College in 2009.

He is the son of Michele and Mark Frederick, of Skowhegan.
