MEDFORD, Mass. — More than 3,000 students graduated from Tufts University on May 17, 2015, during a university-wide commencement ceremony, with former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright as the speaker.

Area graduates from the School of Arts and Sciences and the School of Engineering included James Downer, of South China, Maine, who earned a bachelor of arts degree in international relations; and Benjamin Barnes, of Readfield, Maine, who earned a bachelor of science degree in geology, magna cum laude.
