AUGUSTA — Gage Cote pitched all seven innings and also picked up three hits at the plate as Pastime outlasted Augusta 5-3 in American Legion action on Thursday.

Hunter Landry chipped in with two hits for Pastime (11-4).

Conner Perry, Ryan Rodrigue and Reid Shostak each doubled for Augusta (10-6), while Peyton Kennison pitched seven strong innings in the loss.

AUGUSTA IWS 16, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 6: Nick Bowie clubbed a pair of doubles as Augusta rolled past Gray-New Gloucester Wednesday.

Mark Buzzell, Max McQuillen, Jake Suga and Zach Glidden also doubled in the win.

ALL-STAR GAME

American Legion Zone 1 will hold its all-star game at 7 p.m. Saturday at Husson University.

Each team from the zone sends three players to the game. Joe Leclair, Jared Cunningham and Dan Pooler will represent Messalonskee Post 51.
