Police: Augusta woman tried to hide crack cocaine inside her body

A police dog signaled that he smelled the cocaine on Sarah Lyn Pearl, 26, but she didn’t turn over the drugs until police got a warrant for an X-ray.

In an unrelated case, a Mount Vernon man pleaded guilty to burglarizing a garage at a state trooper’s home in West Gardiner.
