I have known Stephen Soule for more than 36 years; we have worked together at a local elementary school for 32 of those years. I am pleased to hear that he is running for Ward 1, Waterville City Council.

As colleagues, we collaborated on various committees and projects. I have always admired Steve’s fair, respectful and cooperative ways of working with everyone. He is very dedicated, honest and a great role model.

As principal of our school, Steve’s leadership style was one of collaboration and group consensus. He guided us with gentle firmness and mutual respect establishing a strong sense of community and pride. We became known as “The Little School with the Big Heart.” Steve was highly regarded by students, parents and staff.

I feel Stephen Soule’s rational thinking, organizational skills and dedication would be an asset to the City Council.
