SIDNEY — An autumn community contra dance is planned for Friday, Oct. 23, at Snow Pond Community Music School, 8 Goldenrod Lane, off Route 23.

Announcing a new seasonal dance series, music will be provided by the Pineland Fiddlers with guitarist Silas Rogers, and caller Kim Roberts. Family dance will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., with dessert potluck 7:30-8 p.m., and contra dance 8-11 p.m.

All dances are taught and no prior experience is needed. Beginners welcome. The cost is $7 for adults, $5 for children and seniors, $20 for families, and free for those younger than 7.
