PITTSFIELD — Addi Williams scored two goals as second-seeded Maine Central Institute shut out No. 7 Boothbay 4-0 in a Class C North field hockey quarterfinal Wednesday.
Williams, Victoria Friend and Kali Doiron all scored in the first half as the Huskies (11-4) opened up a 3-0 lead. Allison Hughes and Madisyn Hartley had assists for MCI, while Mikayla Carr stopped two shots in the cage for MCI. Erica Eames made 13 saves for the Seahawks (7-8). The Huskies out-shot the Seahawks, 31-5, and had 13 penalty corners to Boothbay’s three.
MCI will host No. 3 Mount View (10-5) in the semifinals at 1 p.m. on Saturday. The Huskies edged the Mustangs, 4-3, in their season finale on Oct. 13.

Megan Mikel had a pair of goals and two assists to pace Mount View (10-5), who will face Maine Central Institute (11-4) in a semifinal contest Saturday t 1 p.m. in Pittsfield. Reanna Boulay added a pair of scores in the win, while McKenna Gibbs chipped in with a goal and an assist.
Jessica Girsa and Cassidy McLeod each scored once for Stearns (8-7).

BOWDOIN 3, COLBY 0: The Polar Bears score a pair of goals in the second half to put away the Mules for a New England Small College Athletic Conference win in Brunswick.
Bowdoin (8-4-1, 5-3-0 NESCAC) got goals from Maggie Godley, Jill Rathke and Taylor Haist in the win. Samantha Rizzo finished with eight saves for Colby (4-8-1, 0-7-1 NESCAC).
