My name is Karen Rancourt-Thomas, and I would like to thank the residents of Ward 7 for allowing me to be their councilor. I am up for re-election and would appreciate their support. I hope my record will prove that I am now, and will continue to be, a voice for their concerns.

I have advocated for many improvements in the South End, such as repaving Water Street, sidewalks on Gold Street, demolition of unsafe buildings and city-owned properties, and a South End officer in our end of town. I support South End Neighborhood Association and its causes, and I am an one of its founders.

Growing up in the South End, I have it seen its evolution, which at times has been dispiriting, however, I have worked to change that. My focus will be: safety, improving streets and parks, eradicating unsafe buildings and lowering our tax rate.
