The time for rhetoric and wrangling is over.

Our state government simply is not working, and wasting more time blaming the Legislature or the governor will not get us where we need to be as a state. The state is floundering because of missteps and missed opportunities on both sides.

For the good of the state, Gov. Paul LePage needs to step aside and allow the state to move forward. I am weary of the mudslinging and complete lack of civility.

I believe breaking the impasse between the Legislature and governor is the only way for the state to right itself and get back to the people’s business.

Working on the state’s agenda needs to be more important than elected officials trying to settle old scores or individuals promoting their own agendas.
