I would remind Gov. Paul LePage, as he publicly refuses safe harbor for Syrian refugees in Maine, that the Nativity story that many Christians are about to celebrate is all about a Middle Eastern couple, unmarried and pregnant, who are fleeing persecution and seeking refuge.
