FAIRFIELD — A rabies clinic for dogs and cats is set for noon-2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, at the Fairfield Community Center. Cost is $15 per immunization.

Dog owners can also license their dog electronically at www.fairfieldme.com.

Maine residents are required by law to register their dogs by Dec. 31 each year. To license a dog at a local town office owners need to bring a current rabies certificate. Dog license fees are $11 for unaltered dogs and $6 for altered dogs.

There will be a state-mandated late fee of $25 for each dog registered after Jan. 31. Court summons commence Feb. 1.
