WATERVILLE — The Waterville boys hockey team jumped out to a 4-0 lead and never looked back on its way to an 8-4 win over Greely Thursday at Colby College’s Alfond Rink.
Matt Jolicoeur led the way for the Purple Panthers (4-0-0) with two goals as seven different Waterville players scored. Jackson Aldrich had a goal and three assists, while Michael Bolcus finished with one goal and two assists.
Joel MacDonald finished with 34 saves for Greely (1-3-0), who got goals from Peter Lattanzi, Jackson Williams, Matt Dubbert and Jack Saffian in the loss.
BOYS BASKETBALL
MADISON 50, MT. ABRAM 37: Chase Malloy scored a game-high 23 points as the Bulldogs held off the Roadrunners in a Mountain Valley Conference game in Madison.
Mitch Jarvais added six points and nine rebounds in the win for Madison (4-2) while Ty Greene chipped in with eight points.
Dan Luce scored 16 points to lead Mt. Abram (1-5), who trailed by just two points heading into the fourth quarter.
BUCKFIELD 62, FOREST HILLS 51: Aaron Moffitt scored a game-high 25 points but it was not enough as the Tigers dropped an East/West Conference game to the Bucks.
Jake Kraske led three Buckfield (2-3) players in double figures with 17 points, while Ethan Jackson and Aaron Rowe chipped in with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Jacob Revas added eight points for Forest Hills (4-2).
