Industry residents will meet Saturday to vote on a 39-article warrant and a proposed $411,699 budget at Town Meeting.
The meeting is scheduled for 2 p.m. at the Town Hall. Elections will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., also at the Town Hall.
Dovey Balsam is running uncontested for her seat on the Board of Selectmen. Residents also will be voting on a representative to the Regional School Unit 9 board of directors; however, no one is running for the seat. Town Clerk Angel Davis said a write-in candidate could be elected to the seat.
Included in the 39-article warrant is a recommendation from the Board of Selectmen asking residents to appropriate $50,000 to build a sand and salt storage shed. Article 39 poses another $50,000 request for the replacement of the town’s plow and utility dump truck.
The proposed 2016 budget is slightly less than last year’s $421,499 budget.
