NEWPORT — Maci Leali doubled and drove in a pair of runs as the Nokomis softball team edged John Bapst 3-1 in a Class B North prelim game Tuesday afternoon.

Libby Dunivan pitched a complete game to earn the victory. Brittany Bubar also doubled for Nokomis (13-4).

John Bapst finished 7-10.
