David Leaming has done some wonderful photography for the Morning Sentinel and Kennebec Journal, but can the editors explain to me why we must see a pool of human blood, from a shooting in Wilton, splashed on the front page, in color no less? (“Police continue shooting probe,” June 3). Whether it was murder or self-defense, can’t the editors be a little more considerate for the family members of the victims and the readers of your papers?
The same was true of the quadruple murder/suicide scene in Oakland last fall. Certainly we could visualize the scene without such graphic detail.
