I believe it’s wrong and an insult to victims and their families to let any convicted criminal out of prison on early release (“Early prisoner release plan eyed,” May 16).
Many innocent lives have been lost and families ruined by murderers like Jeffrey LaGasse, who murdered Louise Brochu in 2007. If you do any crime you should do the time — all of it. Those sentenced to life in prison should die there. There’s no excuse, rehabilitation, forgiveness and certainly should be no early release for what murderer LaGasse and many more like him have done to their victims and families.
