Dresden officials will conduct a recount Monday after election night results showed an 11-vote margin of victory in a contest for a Select Board seat.
Votes for incumbent one-term Selectman Gerald Lilly and challenger Dwight Keene will be recounted at 7 p.m. at Pownalborough Hall.
Keene defeated Lilly, who spent more than 40 years with the Dresden Fire Department before joining the Select Board in 2013, by a 149-138 vote, according to election night results.
The position pays $5,500, up $500 from last year, and the raise was approved by voters during Saturday’s Town Meeting.
Keene, 65, moved to Dresden in the mid-1980s from Bath, where he owned a convenience store.
