ROCKLAND — Sean Whalen ran for 117 yards and a touchdown to lead Madison to a 35-0 win at Oceanside.

Nick Morales added 68 yards and a pair of touchdowns for the Bulldogs (1-0). Evan Bess ran for two touchdowns and threw for 85 yards for Madison, which led 28-0 at halftime.

Oceanside fell to 0-1.

MCI 42, STEARNS 0: Josh Buker threw four touchdown passes, and two-time defending Little Ten Conference champion MCI opened the season with a win in Millinocket.

Buker threw two touchdown passes to Clark Morrison, one to Adam Bertrand, and one to David Young. Buker also had a punt return for a touchdown.

Willie Moss ran for a touchdown for MCI (1-0). Stearns dropped to 0-1.
