I have written our governor three times over the last couple of years to ask that he resign. I received a polite response the first time but have not heard from him since.

My reasons to ask him to resign previously are overshadowed by his recent outburst of immature and, yes, hateful behavior. He is obviously out of control and needs professional help.

I ask, particularly of his fellow Republicans, what will it take to say enough is enough? He has threatened physical harm to Rep. Drew Gattine. Will he actually have to assault someone to get then to see he is not fit to hold office of any sort?

I will say what many think — Gov. LePage is a racist. His repeated statements concerning people of color over many years prove this beyond any reasonable doubt. He has seriously hurt the state of Maine, and for the betterment of everyone he needs to leave immediately.
