WATERVILLE — Casey Bourque scored in the first half to lift Gardiner past Mount View 1-0 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B boys soccer game Saturday at Thomas College.
Garrett Lunt assisted on the goal. Cam Bell, making his first start in goal, made eight shots for the Tigers (2-3-0).
Kevin Richards stopped three shots for the Mustangs (1-4-0).
WATERVILLE 3, MCI 3: Justin Wentworth had two goals but the Purple Panthers had to settle for a tie with the Huskies in KVAC B action.
Nick Dufour had the other goal for Waterville (2-3-1). Ethan Nurick made seven saves.
Devon Varney, Antonio Ranea and Hunter Wintle each scored for MCI (3-1-2). Aiden Peacock made six saves.
GIRLS SOCCER
MOUNT VIEW 1, GARDINER 0: Katelin Bennett scored on a direct kick into the upper corner of the net to give the Mustangs the KVAC B win in Thorndike.
Shala Davis made six saves for Mount View (1-4-1) while Tabytha Hembree stopped 10 shots for Gardiner (1-4-0).
MARANACOOK 0, LEAVITT 0: The two teams played to a scoreless tie after two overtimes. Maranacook keeper Skyeler Webb had 12 saves while her counterpart Allie Roux had 17 for Leavitt. Leavitt moves to 2-2-2 on the season while Maranacook is now 2-1-2.
MONMOUTH 7, WISCASSET 1: Haley Fletcher and Tia Day each scored twice to lift the host Mustangs to the MVC win.
Audrey Fletcher, Emily Grandahl and Abby Allen also scored for Monmouth (7-0-0). Katie Harris made two saves.
Anna Mills had the goal for Wiscasset (3-3-0).
WATERVILLE 4, MCI 1: Sophie Webb had two goals and an assist to spark the Purple Panthers to the KVAC B win in Pittsfield.
Jordan Jabar and Sadie Garling added a goal apiece for Waterville (6-0-0). T.T. Brandon made one save.
Paige Lord scored for MCI (2-3-1). Audrey McCannell stopped 10 shots.
FIELD HOCKEY
MT. BLUE 7, CONY 1: Hannah LeClair, Sam Ellis and Adelle Foss each scored two goals to lift the Cougars to the KVAC A win in Farmington.
Hannah Minns had the other goal for Mt. Blue (6-0-1). Molly Harmon chipped in with two assists.
Molly Silsby scored for Cony (3-2-2).
LAWRENCE 11, LINCOLN 0: Nora Buck and Macie Larouche each had a hat trick to pace the Bulldogs to the KVAC win in Newcastle.
Katelyn Gerow added two goals for Lawrence (4-2) while Lexi Lewis, Miranda Lambert and Hunter Mercier had one goal apiece. Marian Zawtowski didn’t have to make a save.
Lincoln falls to 1-5.
SKOWHEGAN 9, BANGOR 0: Julia Steeves had a hat trick and Maliea Kelso had two goals and an assist to pace the Indians to the KVAC A win in Bangor.
Alexis Michonski, Brooklyn Hubbard, Hannah Genness and Haley Theberge each added a goal for Skowhegan (5-1-1), which outshot the Rams 35-0. The Indians also held a 14-0 advantage in corners.
Kahia Maheux made 23 saves for Bangor (0-7).
FOOTBALL
MOUNT VIEW 41, MATTANAWCOOK 14: Devan Davis ran for 132 yards and a touchdown, helping the Mustangs take the Little Ten Conference win in Thorndike.
Colby Furrow ran for 87 yards and a touchdown for Mount View (2-1). Defensively, Furrow returned a fumble 35 yards for a touchdown, and also had an interception.
Mount View led 19-14 in the second quarter, before pulling away in the second half. Mattanawcook is now 1-2.
FOXCROFT 34, WATERVILLE 6: The Ponies earned their first win of the season with the Big Ten Conference victory at Drummond Field.
Foxcroft is 1-2, Waterville fell to 0-3.

Jenna Gagnon of Waterville had an assist as the Simmons field hockey team beat Mount Ida 6-0. … Mt. View graduate Kersey Boulay scored a goal in the University of New England’s 7-0 field hockey win over Western New England University. … Lawrence graduate Jacob Doolan rushed for 154 yards in Maine Maritime Academy’s 42-35 football win over Massachusetts Maritime.
