Reading J.P. Devine’s “Stepping Into Eternity” column in the Sept. 10 edition really touched me. It made the horrific tragic atrocity of Sept. 11, 2001, more real, much more personal than hearing of the countless lives lost that seemed to be a sad blur.
Devine zeroed in on one couple, and really put his heart into the “what-ifs,” which brought tears to my eyes. I want to thank him for making me appreciate just how terribly sad that day was, and how its fallout touched so very many lives.
I always enjoy his columns, but this one really got to me. Thank you so much, J.P. Devine. You really are a divine writer.
