This morning I went off to Notre Dame for the 9 o’clock Mass, and as I approached the church I saw a huge sign on the back of a truck. From the distance I could see “Hillary.” When I got closer, I saw it said, “Hillary for Prison.” I was somewhat taken aback.
Now I know about freedom of speech, and the owner has his rights. However, is that how we are going to “Make America Great Again”? I know how Hitler took care of his opponents, as did Stalin and Mussolini. Is that what we want to do?
Even more interesting: the sermon at Mass was directed in how we can be great — we can feed the hungry, clothe the naked and visit the sick or do other acts of kindness.
I doubt very much that the truck driver was there to hear this sermon.
