It is clear that access to health care is still out of reach for many people in our state, particularly in Somerset County and other areas of rural Maine. As a physician, this is troubling when there are steps we could take today to relieve this situation and improve the lives of so many working Mainers.

This is why I’m supporting Jeff McCabe, D-Skowhegan, for state Senate. In the Legislature, Jeff has consistently fought to make health care more affordable and accessible. Most notably, he supported a Republican-sponsored effort to expand access to health care and a measure to implement insurance rate reviews so that insurers can’t raise rates without oversight.

With McCabe, we can be confident we are sending a dedicated public servant back to Augusta, someone who knows his community and has their interest at heart
