NEWCASTLE — Sophie Webb scored a pair of goals to lead the Waterville girls soccer team to a 2-1 victory over Oceanside in the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B championship game Thursday night at Lincoln Academy.
Sophie Anich and Jess Bazakas assisted on the Webb goals for the Purple Panthers (14-0-0).
Lilly McVetty scored the lone goal for Oceanside (10-1-3).
Waterville is off until next Wednesday, when it will host either Nokomis or Lee/Stearns in a Class B North regional quarterfinal.
