Two Massachusetts men have been arrested in connection with the killing of a 31-year-old man in Aroostook County this month, Maine State Police said Tuesday.

Douglas Morin of Oakfield was found dead in his car on Lower PD Road in Sherman on Oct. 16.

Being held in connection with Morin’s killing are Marcus Asante, 20, of Fitchburg, Massachusetts, and Darin Goulding, 27, whose hometown isn’t known, said Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety.

Asante was taken into custody on an unrelated charge on Friday, and Goulding was arrested Tuesday in Leominster, Massachusetts.

Both men are being held on fugitive from justice charges and will be extradited to Maine, where they will be charged with murder, McCausland said in a news release.

Little other information has been released about the killing, including any potential motive for the crime or how Morin died.
