Patsy Crockett, our appointed Kennebec County commissioner, has already begun making her mark on ways the county can reduce costs while providing a high quality of service. She has taken the lead in labor-management discussions with unionized employees. She also has strongly advocated for the purchase of a former law office to become the new location for the Registry of Deeds, a purchase that enabled the county to eliminate sizable monthly rent payment.
Lastly, she joined with her fellow commissioners to support construction of space to house 21 additional beds for inmates, which will greatly reduce the need to send prisoners to board at other jails. Let’s elect her in November.
