I support Rod Whittemore, for re-election.

Like most voters, I am sick of the smear ads with blatant lies. One, aired daily on the radio, claims that Rod’s positions aren’t working and have cost jobs. The record makes it clear the opposite is true. The ad concludes by saying: “This message is not funded, authorized, or approved by any candidate.”

Where is this funding coming from? Whittemore authored a bill that would save people money on health insurance. It seemed certain for passage until the insurance companies got involved, after which the bill was gutted. Not surprising is that the PAC paying for these ads got major support from those insurance companies.

When Whittemore first took office, our state was ranked 48th as business friendly. We’re now up to 43rd. We’re headed in the right direction. It makes no sense to go backwards.
