WALDO — A local man was arrested over the weekend on allegations that he threatened by a woman by pointing a gun at her, police said.

Devon Richards, 21, of Kendall Corner Road in Waldo, was arrested on Sunday at 9 p.m. on a charge of aggravated reckless conduct, a Class B felony, according to a news release Tuesday from the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office.

A woman complained to police on Sunday at 4 p.m. that Richards, with whom she lives, had been upset with her when arrived home on Saturday. Richards allegedly pointed a gun at her, took her phone away and “insisted they discuss issues in their relationship,” according to the release.

The woman left the house the next day to go to work and was able to contact family and the police.

Richards was taken to the Waldo County Correctional Center in Belfast and is being held on $750 cash bail.
