I would like to take the opportunity to thank all the voters of Senate District 15 who voted for me. I was a political novice with no name recognition, no money, and a shortened amount of time to get my message out to the public. I thank all of you who were willing to take a chance on me. I also thank all of you who voted and participated in the election process.
I would also like to offer my heartfelt congratulations to my opponent, Sen. Roger Katz, also of Augusta, on his re-election to his third term in office. He is a good man and leader who will continue to work for all of us. Together, we ran a positive campaign, dedicated to the citizens of our district as well to our great state of Maine.
I will be continuing to work for my city of Augusta as well as for all of the surrounding areas and for the whole state. We need jobs and opportunities for all to seek success. In this campaign, I learned a lot from listening to constituents about what is needed in their lives. Most of all, we need the opportunity to be safe and secure to lead our lives. I will be running again for office in the future because there are too many in government now who refuse to look out for the needs and dreams of our citizens.
Henry (Hank) Dilts
