MANCHESTER — Manchester Community Church held a warm welcome Nov. 29 for Manchester resident retired Staff Sgt. Travis Mills as he introduced his documentary film “Travis: A Soldier’s Story,” about his life before, during and after the incident which left him a quadruple amputee while on patrol on April 10, 2012, in Afghanistan.

Mills was invited by Donald Davenport, pastor of the church, to share his story via the documentary film to members of the church as well as the community.

Youth group members have sold 1,000 small American flags in two years to raise money for the Travis Mills Foundation. Direct donations by church members also were given to their effort.

Dylan Burroughs of the youth group, along with other members, presented Mills with a check for $1,500.
