Tyler J. Benedict, a member of the United States Air Force, was promoted to senior airman on Dec. 6.

This promotion was six months early as Benedict was awarded a Below the Zone which allows early rank promotion for going above and beyond.

Benedict is a 2013 graduate of Winslow High School. He and his wife Morgan reside in New Jersey.

He is the son of James and Tammy Benedict.
