Traffic was blocked Wednesday morning on Maine Avenue in Farmingdale after a two-vehicle crash there.

The 9:30 a.m. accident occurred near the fire station, and a person involved in the head-on collision suffered a minor injury, a dispatcher from the Kennebec County Sheriff’s Office said soon after the crash.

At that time, sheriff’s deputies were waiting for tow trucks to arrive to remove both vehicles.

By late morning, an employee at the Town Office said Maine Avenue traffic was moving again.

No other information about the crash was available Wednesday.
