MAJOR ITEMS APPROVED: $145,237 for administration, including $91,827 for officer’s salaries, $11,000 for town charges, $13,320 for the town office, $10,000 for social security and $19,090 for insurance. $124,000 for summer roads including $51,000 from taxation, $37,000 from road grant and $36,000 from excise tax; $225,000 for winter roads, including $125,000 from taxation and $100,000 from excise tax; $44,090 for the New Portland Fire Department, $30,407 for loan payment for the 2014 fire truck, $46,893 for the Kingfield transfer station.

MAJOR ITEMS REJECTED: Voters rejected a Select Board recommendation to raise and appropriate $1,500 for the continuing legal fees account.

CONTESTED ELECTIONS: No contested elections. Wayne Rundlett won his unopposed election to the Select Board. Bobbi Sue Harrington won a seat on the Regional School Unit 74 School Board.
