MANCHESTER, N.H. — Three local Saint Anselm College students were accepted into national and international honor societies in the just-completed 2016-2017 academic year, conferring distinction for high scholarship and/or leadership achievement in broad or specialized fields of study.
They are Matthew Murray, of Augusta, class of 2020, an economics major, Alpha Lambda Delta National Scholastic Honor Society for First-Year Students; Emily Rice, of Farmington, class of 2018, a politics major, Pi Alpha Theta, Sigma Omega Chapter National History Honor Society; Pi Sigma Alpha, Upsilon Lambda Chapter of the National Political Science Honor Society and Pi Gamma Mu of the International Honor Society in Social Sciences; and Alexis Caldwell, of Pittsfield, class of 2020, a psychology major, Alpha Lambda Delta National Scholastic Honor Society for First-Year Students.
The three were among the 299 Saint Anselm students inducted into the honor societies represent 18 states.
Undergraduates may be considered for induction if they have achieved an average grade of 3.0 or higher in all honor related courses. Additionally, candidates must be in the top third of the class based on an overall GPA.
