I saw something on television channel 11 on Sept. 20 that took me back many years.

There were pictures provided by John Goodine showing two-way traffic on Main Street in Waterville, which I remember very well.

I can’t believe they want to go back to how it was back then — people did not like it then, and one-way traffic is working now. This should not be decided by a handful of people; we should be able to vote on such an undertaking (“Waterville council approves pursuing funding for two-way traffic downtown,” Sept. 5).

I don’t care where the money will come for such a project — at the end it will be from all of us; the government is us.
