A 43-year-old Portland man was struck by a car and seriously injured Thursday about 8:17 p.m. at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Presumpscot Street.
A black 2008 Saab 92 driven by Jose Rodriguez-Arriaga, 22, of Portland hit the man as he crossed the intersection.
Rodriquez-Arriaga was issued a criminal summons charging with with driving without a license.
The identity of the injured man is not being released pending notification of next of kin.
Anyone who witnessed the accident should contact Portland police at 874-8532, or 874-8575.
