Crash on I-295 in Freeport caused morning delays

Officials had warned drivers to expect delays in the southbound lanes during the morning commute.

A crash on I-295 north of Portland caused delays Thursday morning.

The crash is in the area of mile 19 southbound in Freeport, according to a traffic alert from the Maine Turnpike Authority. Traffic was backed up in the area shortly before 9 a.m.
