UNION — The following free events are schedule at Vose Library, 392 Common Road.
4-H Family Fun STEM Activity will begin at 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1. Those who attend can engage in learning and group challenges with children in a hands-on activity for all ages.
Raising Kids on a Tight Budget will be the topic at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5. Elizabeth Siegel of Heritage Home Farm explores the many benefits of raising children with ‘less’ in a world fixated on ‘more.’ Practical ideas and suggestions, including ways to organize a supportive environment, provide experiential activities and utilize local resources.
Book Discussion: The Maine Woods by Henry David Thoreau is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21. The first edition of Let’s Talk About It: Defining Wilderness, Defining Maine will be presented with the Maine Humanities Council, this is a monthly book discussion series facilitated by Dr. Joshua Kercsmar, Ph.D., Unity College. Copies of the book are available at the library.
