A Sanford man has pleaded guilty to transporting child pornography,

Rusty Hood, 38, entered the plea Monday in federal court in Portland.

According to investigators, Hood and a man in Ohio chatted online in May 2016 and exchanged images of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

When sentenced later, Hood will face between five and 20 years in prison, five years to life on supervised release and a fine of up to $250,000.
