A Georgetown woman was uninjured after her car crashed and overturned on I-295 in Falmouth, causing significant traffic delays during the Friday morning commute.

The crash was reported at 8:04 a.m. just before Exit 10 in the southbound lanes.

State Police said Edana Lewis swerved to avoid a slowing vehicle in front of her, struck a guardrail and flipped her car into the median.

Traffic backed up for several miles in the area before crews cleared the scene.
