AUGUSTA — The third-seeded Gould basketball team parlayed some late clutch shooting into a come-from-behind 58-45 victory over No 6 Pine Tree Academy in a Class D South quarterfinal Monday morning at the Civic Center.
Ernie Larange scored a game-high 28 points and Alex Shoureas added 12 for the Bears (15-4).
Malakai Brimage scored 10 points for Gould, which will play No. 2 Valley (14-5) in a regional semifinal game Wednesday at 10 a.m., also at the Civic Center.
Alexander Schlisner scored 17 points and Jared Tamaleaa added 12 for the Breakers (9-10), who led 27-22 at the half.
