BANGOR — No. 2 Mount Desert Island pulled away from No. 3 Presque Isle in the second quarter, taking a 72-60 win in the Class B North boys basketball semifinals.

The Trojans, now 17-3, will face either No. 1 Hermon or No. 4 Winslow in Saturday’s regional final. The Wildcats end at 14-6.

Derek Collin led a balanced MDI offense with 21 points. Four Trojans scored in double figures. Griffin Guerrette scored a game-high 30 points for Presque Isle.
